TV fans who travel deals to New York have the unique opportunity to watch some of their favorite shows being taped live in studio. For example, the popular TV morning show Live With Regis and Kelly is filmed in NYC daily, but seats are difficult to get because they are typically sold out a year in advance.
However, for those willing to wake up super early on their vacation, there is the chance to score stand-by tickets to the show at 6am. The tickets are given out at 8am, but you must get there much earlier in order to beat the crowds and secure a place in the front of the line. Of course, there are the famous Broadway shows to enjoy in New York as well. The Lion King is a favorite, and tourists who attend this show even have the chance to get their photos taken with actor Robin Williams.
