The Joseph And His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a musical theatre show which is based on "Coat Of Many Colors" story of Bible. In the show, a narrator encourages children to dream and then tells them the story of another dreamer Joseph. Joseph's brothers are jealous of him as he possesses a coat which was given to him by their father Jacob. The brothers sell Joseph as a slave to some Ishmaelites who then take him to Egypt. The brothers and their wives break the news of Joseph's death to Jacob and show him his tattered coat smeared with blood. Joseph eventually rises from the rank of slaves and runs his millionaire Potiphar master's house. He spurns the advances of his master's wife.
Back home, famine catches the brothers of Joseph who regret to their father for deceiving him. They hear that Egypt has food and go there to beg food. They happen to beg food from Joseph himself. Joseph gives them food but plants a golden cup into his brother Benjamin's sack. When brothers start to leave, he asks them to empty their sacks to find his stolen golden cup. Obviously, the cup is found in Benjamin's sack, and Joseph accuses him of robbery. Other brothers ask Joseph for mercy and implore him to take them prisoner and set Benjamin free. Seeing their unselfishness, Joseph sends them for their father. The next Joseph theatre break is scheduled to be held at the Strand, London, UK on 29th Feb 2008.
